Project overview
This project was a full rebuild and upgrade of Midland’s custom Bronco golf cart. The original blue version already had a Bronco inspired body and hood cooler, but Midland’s team took the build to a new level with the redesigned grey version. The rebuild included updated paint and styling, custom fabrication, a complete custom front and rear suspension, electric power steering, upgraded interior details, Midland branding, improved golf features, and a stronger overall presence. What started as an already unique cart became a true one of one Midland Custom Shop build.
Goals
The goal was to take an already unique Midland made golf cart and turn it into something more functional, polished, and memorable. Midland wanted the rebuild to show what our team can accomplish when creativity, fabrication, craftsmanship, and problem solving come together. This was never just about building a cool golf cart. The goal was to create something that would stand out anywhere it went, especially on the golf course, while showing the pride, talent, and attention to detail behind the Midland Custom Shop.
The Challenge
Unlike a standard rebuild, this project had no template to follow. Midland wasn’t assembling a kit or modifying an off-the-shelf vehicle, they were reimagining an already unique Bronco-inspired golf cart into something even more functional, refined, and memorable.
The biggest challenge was completing the entire rebuild in less than two months. Every custom component—from the suspension and electric power steering to the fabricated brackets, branding details, and golf-focused accessories—had to fit together seamlessly while preserving the Bronco-inspired character that made the cart special in the first place.
With no established roadmap, the team relied on creativity, craftsmanship, and problem-solving throughout every stage of the project to ensure each upgrade improved both appearance and performance.

The Build Process
Step 1: Evaluation & Planning
The project began with a complete evaluation of the original blue Bronco-inspired golf cart. Midland identified opportunities to improve comfort, drivability, branding, functionality, and overall appearance while preserving the unique personality that made the original build stand out.
Step 2: Teardown & preparation
Once the plan was finalized, the team completely disassembled the cart to prepare it for fabrication, repainting, and mechanical upgrades. Every stage of the rebuild was carefully planned so each modification would integrate seamlessly into the finished design.
Step 3: Custom Fabrication
Nearly every component on the finished cart was custom built or extensively modified. Midland fabricated the front and rear suspension systems, brackets, mounting points, support structures, rear golf bag carrier, Midland front plate, logo side supports, and numerous custom branding elements throughout the vehicle.
The project also included welding, laser cutting, grinding, fiberglass body fitment, mechanical installation, wiring, steering integration, paint work, and final finishing.
Step 4: performance & interior
Beyond appearance, the rebuild focused heavily on improving the driving experience. Electric power steering, upgraded seating, improved lighting, custom upholstery, new wheels and tires, and a redesigned interior made the cart more comfortable, functional, and enjoyable to operate.
Step 5: FInal Assembly
The final stage brought every custom component together. After completing fitment, finishing details, branding, and final assembly, the result was a one-of-a-kind Midland Custom Shop build that exceeded the original vision while showcasing the craftsmanship and attention to detail behind every modification.
Unique & Standout Features
Custom Suspension System
One of the most significant upgrades was the complete custom front and rear suspension system. Designed and fabricated specifically for this build, the suspension improves stance, ride quality, and overall drivability while giving the cart a more aggressive appearance.
Electric Power Steering
Electric power steering makes the cart significantly easier to maneuver during tournaments, company events, and everyday use while complementing the upgraded suspension system.
Functional Hood Cooler
Hidden beneath the Bronco-inspired hood is a fully functional built-in cooler, adding convenience for golf outings, customer appreciation events, and promotional activities.
Custom branding
Midland branding appears throughout the build, including custom seat embroidery, fabricated support panels, and the custom front plate. These details reinforce the company’s identity while demonstrating the precision of its fabrication capabilities.

A custom rear golf bag carrier, upgraded seating, improved lighting, and thoughtful interior layout make the cart just as practical as it is visually impressive.
